Integrative training enables the Practitioner to include a range of approaches and therapeutic work in their practice.
As Jung said: "Learn the best, know the best, and then forget everything when you are face to face with the patient"
This simple statement encourages us to realise - through our various trainings over the years, and intuitively - what may be helpful to someone at any given time in the therapeutic process.
When we are working with old patterns of behaviour, expectation, self-esteem, relationships, the tools and focus of CBT/CAT can be very beneficial in the process of self-help and dynamic change.
Some clients may want and need longer-term therapy on a regular basis; others may want shorter-term help and resources they can use themselves between sessions. CBT/CAT adds choices to the way we practice, the range of help we can give to our clients – and also the type of settings in which we choose to work.
